We wish to highlight the following for your due consideration :- i) As highlighted previously, we are against the testing of piles after the completion of works. The contractor is to undertake any risks associated with post installation testing.ii) Item 3 /5 – B6-P53 and B6-P50 has failed to achieve the required design load capacity. As LY6 & 7 are located on similar geological profile, it is only logical that MLT results for pile B6-P53 and B6-50 have a direct bearing on the capacity of the piles in LY 7.iii) Item 10- Instruction to carry out MLT on B7-P137 was emailed on the 8th January 2020 but test only started on the 15th January 2020.iv) Item 11 – The several revisions to the subsequent pile to be tested is based on the discussion with RE Lee. RE Lee has suggested that due to time constraint, only pile with extension already built is to be selected for testing.v) Item 13 – The contractor has submitted the first batch of the pile as built . We cautioned that any works carry out shall be at their own risk as pile testing is still underway.vi) Item 14 – We have already informed all parties particularly the piling contractor on the 19th January 2020 on the selection of B7-P10 for subsequent MLT testing. As B7-P10 has already been earmarked for PDA testing in the RE Lee’s piling test plan, pile extension is therefore not necessary as claimed.vii) The layout for the additional piles has already been emailed on the 10th January 2020. We do not forsee any reasons why these can only be installed after the 11th February 2020. 我们希望强调以下几点,以供您适当考虑:-
